Elisabeth is a self-taught artist living in Plano, Texas. It wasn't until the early 90's that Elisabeth discovered her passion and talent for art. She woke up one day and found that she could draw. Shortly after that she discovered that she could paint.
The charcoal drawing of Natalie Wood at the right was her first portrait. Her work is about the masks we wear. All of us have a variety of masks that we wear daily. These may be the identities that have been given to us, or ones we have assumed over time.
In Elisabeth's "other life", she is the mother of four, shares space with two "fur-persons" (Roxy and Harley), and likes to dance to the beat of a different drummer. When she was a child she often dreamed it rained beads and continues to hope it might really happen.
In 1998 she received her degree in graphic design and has been coloring outside the lines ever since.
Elisabeth feeds her family by working as a graphic designer; she feeds her soul through art.
A friend of hers once said that being an artist is like walking around with a pebble in your shoe. This is a reminder that art is just as much about the process as it is the final product.
